I first fell in love with The Children's Center Utah when I volunteered in the therapeutic preschool while as an undergraduate. Over the course of a year, I watched in amazement as the preschoolers grew into happier, healthier little people. The Children's Center Utah's kind and caring atmosphere inspired me to change my career path to pursue a mental health career focused on early intervention with young children.

My time here has given me hope. Instead of finding out about another treatment/therapy that our insurance won’t pay for and that we cannot afford, despite the fact that we desperately need it, I was given training that I can incorporate in our everyday lives. This is an investment we have made in our son that will continue to pay off for years to come.

We have changed for the better in so many ways. People tell us all the time how much Thomas has transformed. He is more confident, outgoing, and he is learning how to deal with his struggles. We were finally able to “find” our son. We have learned so much from our time here. The highlight of Thomas’ day is driving by The Children’s Center and saying, “That's my school! They love me there! They don't have to love me, but they do!”
