The Children’s Center Utah is now offering infant/early childhood mental health (IECMH) consultations.

We offer virtual training and support via webinars and individualized consultations.

These consultation services are offered at no cost to providers seeking support related to serving young children and their families.

Examples of available consultation services include the following: Case Consultation, Provider Collaboration Support, Referral/Resource Coordination, Reflective Consultation, and Technical Assistance.

  • Case Consultation: as-needed appointments are available to provide support with difficult cases and other IECMH related topics
    • Frequency: schedule as needed
    • Services: private (individual or members of the same team)
    • Location: Zoom (virtual)
    • Schedule: email McCall Lyon, PsyD (mlyon@tccutah.org)

  • Reflective Consultation: ongoing monthly small groups of IEC providers with the goal of using reflection to process their professional experiences, leading to a deeper understanding of the self, clients, and colleagues.  Common topics of discussion include the impact of working with young children and families, work-related stressors, discussing difficult cases, celebrating professional successes, and practicing self-compassion. A licensed mental health consultant expertly leads each group.
    • Frequency: once per month (for example, 1st Tuesday of each month at 9:00am)
    • Services: small groups of providers in similar fields (early education, home visiting, mental health, etc.) and in similar roles (supervisors, providers/staff, agency leadership, etc.)
    • Location: Zoom (virtual)
    • Schedule: find the group below that best matches your field and your role, and use the link to register for that group. If you cannot find a similar group, or if the current group times conflict with your availability, please email McCall Lyon, PsyD (mlyon@tccutah.org)

If you have any questions about the Teleconsultation Program, or if you are interested in learning more about creating a unique training package that is specific to your organization, please contact McCall Lyon, PsyD, at mlyon@tccutah.org.
