Help Impact the Life of a Child

Why Volunteer?

Volunteers strengthen the work of The Children’s Center Utah by supporting young children and families receiving mental health services through hands-on projects, event support, donation drives, community outreach, and regular program support. Whether you are looking for a one-time opportunity, a group service project, or a more consistent volunteer role, there are several ways to get involved.

Sign Up for Current Volunteer Opportunities

View and sign up for current volunteer shifts through POINT, our volunteer management platform. Opportunities may include toy cleaning, Family Store support, special events, community outreach, and project-based needs.

You’ll be asked to complete a short volunteer profile before signing up for your first opportunity. This helps us learn what types of opportunities you’re most interested in and send relevant volunteer updates.

The SHINE Gala is our largest annual fundraising event, bringing guests together for silent and live auctions, an opportunity drawing, dinner, and a powerful program highlighting our work—and the critical need for early childhood mental health services across Utah. More than 75 volunteers help make this special day possible, supporting event setup, staffing, guest experience, and cleanup. In 2026, SHINE raised $1.1 million to provide comprehensive mental health care for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and their families. Join us in the first week of June and help your hearts SHINE!
