Dr. Singer is a clinical psychologist with more than 40 years of experience working with a diverse array of children and families across hospital, school, and community-based settings; having developed from fields of early education as well as home visiting. She has been with Boston Children’s Hospital since 1988 serving families with children prenatally throughout childhood with a wide variety of medical, developmental, emotional, behavioral, and familial challenges including many variations of trauma. Dr. Singer provides neurodevelopmental and psychological evaluation, intervention, and preventive consultation within an overall systems focus on child-family emotional and relational health based upon the principles of IECMH. Dr. Singer is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. She continuously engages in national and international lecturing and teaching, and intensive mentoring of the Brazelton Touchpoints Approach and the Newborn Behavioral Observations system; especially applied to families living with children with intense challenges and histories.
