Good Things Utah: Join the Utah conference supporting children's mental health

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (Good Things Utah) – World Mental Health Day, observed annually on Oct.10, raises awareness of mental health issues and advocates for greater support, funding, and access to mental health services across the globe.

Joni Clark, Director of Development at The Children’s Center Utah, shares insights on the importance of taking care of children’s mental health. Just like people take sick days, the same should be done for mental health.

It’s also important to recognize how mental health issues can manifest in children. Early identification and treatment can significantly impact a child’s development, their future, and their overall well-being.

The Children’s Center Utah provides essential mental health services to children and families in Utah, ensuring that mental health support is accessible to those in need, particularly for early childhood intervention.

The non-profit organization encourages everyone – families, schools, and workplaces – to prioritize mental wellness and support one another in breaking the stigma surrounding mental health challenges.

The Children’s Center Utah will host the 2025 Ready! Resilient! Utah Early Childhood Mental Health Conference on Thursday, Nov. 18, 2025 at Mountain America Expo Center.

This annual event will bring together state leaders, mental health professionals, educators, healthcare providers, and community members to address key issues and foster collaboration on infant and early childhood mental health.
