Executive Assistant to the CEO


The Children’s Center is seeking an Executive Assistant to the CEO to play a key organizational role in providing exceptional administrative support to the CEO as well as the Senior Program and Operations Director. This experienced individual often serves as a liaison between the CEO and the Executive Leadership Team, Board of Trustees, donors, partners and other stakeholders and employees.  They support the Executive Leadership Team with broad and project-specific work, in addition to leading other important organizational work.


  • Manage CEO schedule and serve as liaison among Executive Leadership Team, Board of Trustees, donors, partners and other stakeholders and employees; provides similar support for Senior Program and Operations Director
  • Manage calendars and set up meetings; screen and direct phone calls and distribute correspondence
  • Support Board of Trustees and committees, including creating agendas, meeting correspondence and meeting minutes
  • Format information for internal and external communication—memos, emails, presentations, reports
  • Plan/organize and implement events such as meetings, business luncheons, or dinner meetings
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and data, as well as maintaining correspondence and records for meetings; utilize database (Raiser’s Edge) and other tools
  • Prepare information and research for executive needs
  • May help plan company events, meetings, and employee team building activities or special projects
  • Handle confidential information; organize and maintain files
  • Key partner to CEO and other Executive Leadership Team members
  • Develop and maintain successful relationship with external contacts and internally with team members
  • Manage information flow in a timely and accurate manner
  • Other similar responsibilities as assigned, including project leadership

The Successful Candidate

  • You are a professional. You have 3-5 years of experience working in a similar position supporting senior leadership. You are comfortable working with high-level individuals internally and in the community. You conduct yourself with integrity. You bring innovation to your work.
  • You are a skilled communicator. You have excellent written and oral communication skills. You have experience communicating internally and externally in an organization.

  • You work well independently. You have excellent time management abilities, can multi-task effectively and manage competing deadlines. You are detail-oriented. You think ahead and can anticipate needs.


  • 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)
  • Understanding of CRM systems preferred (knowledge of Raiser’s Edge a plus)
  • A valid driver’s license and a personal vehicle to be able to complete business related errands and tasks


Annual salary of $45,000 - $55,000, commensurate with experience.
